The Sensible Nature of Bilbo and Hobbits - 1382 Words
One of the recurring themes throughout The Hobbit is Tolkienââ¬â¢s manifestation of morality through his inherently good and evil characters. Although, some characters narrowly balance the line of good and evil through portraying characteristics such as greed, the hobbits represent naturally altruistic and peaceful characters. The protagonist Bilboââ¬â¢s rational nature and willingness to compromise through his selfless transfer of the Arkenstone to Bard and the Elvenking further highlights Tolkienââ¬â¢s portrayal of a simple and sensible twentieth century Englishmen in a fantastical setting. Even though he risks his promised sum of the treasures, Bilbo chooses to work as a peacekeeper to opt for a more sensible way of solving a problem. Through being specific about exactly who and how many dwarves may arrive to aid Thorin, Bilbo serves as a forthcoming agent responsible for potential peace between all those deserving of treasure. The Elvenking and Bard remain hesitant and defensive about Bilboââ¬â¢s intentions when he informs them of the upcoming potential battle. It condemned our wrongdoings of discrimination in this nation. Rosa Parks could be considered a martyr. Although she broke the law, it was for a good cause. She stood up for the rights of African Americans by not giving up her seat on the bus for a white person which was illegal. Also, she drew attention to the subject which initiated a linked chain of events that fought back against the racist laws. Not only this, but she had such courage to be the first that it empowered others to think for themselves about the racist system and act out in some cases. This was because they saw how courageous she was and it set a precedent for action. The Bus incident was one of the highlights in American history because of how much impact it had. Most African Americans wouldnt have even thought of doing such a thing. She however, took that initiative and stood up for her beliefs even if it meant being arrested. It didnt stop there. This event started a major boycott of the bus system which was a rather large chunk of money for the company. In turn, it fueled a new age of thinking for both African Americans and white people. Rosa Parks bravery was inspirational on many levels. It may have not been the largest battle of the war on racism but it was the first shot fired. Therefore, it is just as impactful as any other struggle. The common thinking today is completely different which is partially if not more due to the efforts of Rosa Parks actions which lit the fuse. I think it is rather important to examine why things are the way they are in present day. It had to start somewhere and we need to trace the roots.

Animal cloning has produced some remarkable results within the last few years, which has suggested to some that there should be a way to produce a human clone within the next year. It has effectively ascertained the expected time of the project for effective planning and accountability of time and estimation of resources and cost. From the analysis, the pessimistic, normal and optimistic time were estimated. This was critical in showing the various activities keeping in mind their dependence to each other and particular independence. From the analysis with help of the PERT diagram, the critical path procedure shows that the estimated longest time to complete the project will be 63 days. The NPV of projects X and Y were found to be 20.60 and 1041.90 respectively. The excavator used during the project should not be more than 5 years old, this for efficiency purposes and minimization of loss. With respect financial analysis, the tender documents of the contracting organization ought not to be complicated. The standard nature of th e documents will ascertain the value of the credit and cash flow of the contract period.
